Yoga lessons in Bournemouth in the comfort of your own home. Whether you’re new to yoga and are looking for an introduction to the postures before joining a class, or if you’re looking for bespoke sequences to match your specific health and fitness goals, Mountain Ocean Rehab offer private yoga lessons that fit into your busy schedule.
Let us take the strain, we’ll travel to you, providing all the equipment. All you need to do is just relax, and focus on the breath.
Private yoga sessions are tailored perfectly to you, whether Viyassa flow, Hatha or a combination of both. Sessions generally consist of Pranayama (breath work), a warm up, a run through Sun Salutations A and B, the main body of the session and finishing with Shavasana (relaxation).
Prior to your first private yoga session, we will discuss your goals and your medical history to assess any previous injuries and your current state of health. Private yoga sessions are ideally suited to beginner and intermediate yogi, or those returning from injury.
Mountain Ocean Rehab clients enjoy the benefits of having a Yoga Alliance Qualified teacher, who is also a Chartered physiotherapist. Find out more about our Bournemouth based yoga teacher.

Regular yoga practice develops strength, co-ordination, endurance, flexibility, balance and improved breathing. By scheduling regular yoga sessions into your life, you’ll also be developing your ability to perform all other sports; running, cycling, tennis, surfing and skiing.
Yoga is a highly effective energising and restorative exercise practice. Awaken the mind while gently warming up and improving the body’s ability to move. Unwind, cool down, restorative yoga also helps you prepare for exercise or simply for the day ahead.
The faster paced Vinyassa yoga energises the body and mind by flowing between the asanas (postures). Vinyassa yoga is excellent for opening and strengthening the entire body, increased heart rate and losing weight.
The slower paced Hatha yoga practice encourages mindful movements by holding individual postures for short periods while focussing on controlled breathing. It’s the perfect starting point for beginners.
Preparation
Please prepare an area in your house or workplace. We will need sufficient space for the mats on the floor and for the exercises to take place.
Mountain Ocean Rehab is able to provide four mats, blocks and belts. Our clients are very welcome to use their own equipment.
Clothing
You'll need to wear approproate fitting sportswear, allowing you to move freely during the yoga session. It is advised to remove shoes and socks whilst on the mat.
